Boiled Peanuts

About Us:

We are a group of scientists from the NOAA Environmental Cooperative Science Center (ECSC) who are studying the potential impacts of climate change on St. George Island and St. Vincent Island, Florida. We are working in collaboration with the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The barrier islands of Apalachicola Bay serve as an essential stopover point for many species of neotropical migratory birds. A team of researchers from Delaware State University is currently studying the migrant songbird community of these islands, and this blog is here to share their experiences.
